4 | Take risks

If it doesn't work, it doesn't mean you failed, it means you need to try something different.

If I can guarantee one thing for you, it is that sooner or later you will bet on something that will not work.

Be it:
√ a very high-value package that no one will want, or a very low one that will make your work almost for free.
√ It can be a promotion that you believe in, make an inventory, and sell nothing
√ or even a service that was developed for a very specific target audience and you launched it for everyone.

Okay.

Learn from your mistakes. Change the process or service offered and let's go.

Nobody achieves success without taking risks and testing new things. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work out. C'est la vie.

5 | Be prepared for a long journey

Moment of truth: very few business owners achieve success in a short time. I wish… The vast majority of entrepreneurs take a long, long time to even balance the accounts.

Any small business requires perseverance and dedication.

Anything related to your business, consistency is the key to success.

6 | Discover your target audience from the start

I've made a post about it in the past.

If you have ever thought about starting a business, the first question to ask yourself is: who is my target audience? To define your audience, think, and answer:

√ Who do I want to meet?
√ Who will buy my product?
√ Who will read my posts?
√ Who cares about the service I offer?
√ Who am I going to write for on social media?

If your answer is "everybody", it is starting off wrong.

You must be asking yourself “but why?” and the answer is very simple: when you identify your niche, you become the expert person in that segment.

Think about the following scenario: you have a degree in physical education and work as a personal trainer. A lot of people are, and there's nothing wrong with that.

But if you position yourself as a “personal trainer specializing in spine problems”, who do you think people who have a low back problem will look for when they need a professional? The general personal trainer understands back problems too, but you are THE SPECIALIST. Do you understand the difference?

And if you go further and place yourself as a “personal trainer specialized in spinal problems for the elderly”. See how much easier it is to think about social media posts, blog topics, seminar topics, etc.?

You may even lose that 25-year-old client who is suffering from back pain, but you will gain tons of others who seek this type of expertise.
